Catasta

The thirty-nine square tiles, apparently piled up randomly, host a comfortable pit in the middle. With its variety, marked by different edges, thicknesses and protuberances, Catasta is an abacus of marble and finishings, that can be appreciated also in the sophisticated contrast between the irregularity of the external profile and the interior density. Modelled in the superposition, consistencies, colours and veining unite in a continuous polished surface inventing an unknowned pattern. A vortex of matter that gives rhythm and colour to the flowing water.
